Cheapest hardwoods in the Bay area

Hello,
What is the cheapest place in the bay area to get hardwoods (oak-ply,
solid oak, maple-ply, maple)?.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

For plywood, I'd try

Plywood and Lumber Sales Inc
1618 28th St
Emeryville, CA 94608
(510) 208-7261

If you're in SF or the East bay- they also have a hardwood selection via
Earthsource Forest Products
(510) 549-9663

For the ply, goto Lowes or Home Depot. You could also get solid oak and
maple there if you don't mind the limited selection.

Not sure on rock bottom prices, but Aura Hardwoods is a decent place. Of
course I've always like Southern Lumber, but it isn't the place to find
cheap lumber.

Brian.

check the group's archives via google - they have a "groups"
search. You're question has been answered several hundred
times in just the last few months. Specify the "group"
as "rec.woodworking" and use SF and lumber or wood as
the search criteria.

Knowing where in the Bay Area you are would also belp.
Santa Clara county - Southern Lumber, Aura, Global
Wood Sources, Baker Hardwoods ...
