Howdy!
Does such a service exist? If so, can somebody recommend one?
I'm in a remote area in Northwest Florida and need to have the base of
some boat seats re-done in Marine Plywood. The closest Carpenter is
about 40 minutes away and he want's me to pay him two full days work
to come over and build them. Is this reasonable? I've considered just
buying brand new seats but they are about $1500 and the vynl on mine
is brand new - it's just the bases have rotted out.
The seat bases are about 1.5 feet squared and are not too complicated
to replicate.
What's a reasonable rate for 4 of these items?
Thanks so much.
Bubbles.
Hi Bubbles -
If you mean a Carpentry / Woodworking Service that accepts specs in
digital format (like email) from web customers and then delivers the
final product via postal without ever actually being onsite or even
physically seeing the piece they are replicating - I do know of a
company does do this kind of service and they are pretty reasonable
too.
You can find them at:

BTW, are you near the panhandle? I drove through last year for an hour
without cell service running through a bunch of one street towns.
Best of luck.
