DoD Identifies Army Casualties
The Department of Defense announced today the deaths of two
soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died in Baghdad,
Iraq, on Dec. 22, when an improvised explosive device detonated near their
position during a dismounted patrol. Both soldiers were assigned to the 1st
Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne
Division, Fort Campbell, Ky.
Killed were:
1st Lt. Benjamin T. Britt, 24, of Wheeler, Texas.
Spc. William Lopez-Feliciano, 33, of Quebradillas, Puerto Rico.
