Went there for a DeWalt - $129.00 for the 12.0V model.
Specs were comparable, both came with 2 batteries.
DeWalt Batteries were $55 ea
Porter Cable Batteries were $36 ea
Amazon lists the 9824 @ $134.00

Their web site does not even list Porter Cable cordless drills. Maybe they
are dropping PC and this is a limited availability thing.

the selection of power tools on HD's site, very little shown compared to the
store.

Must be *real* limited availability. I stopped by the HD in Rochester,
MN this morning and there was not a Porter Cable tool to be found.
No shortage of Ryobi or Ridgid though.
