Once again, spectacular customer service from Lee Valley

I dropped the plane. It was my fault. And they're replacing it free,
including FedEx shipping.

And the response came back 69 minutes after I sent my note.

Rob - I know you read this group - this service pays off. I've hooked
two others on your catalog (aka tool porn) just in the last 4 months.

Now, if you guys would just make a dovetail marker that was a square
across the end of the board as well as the angle down the front, so I
could mark both the long grain and end grain of the tails with the
same tool, instead of having to get out the square.

Wow, that's good to hear since I'm looking at one of these planes myself.
Wouldn't it be great if all companies were like that. I could have emerson
electric replace my big toe after I dropped one of there friggin moters on
it....Damn thing still hurts a year later.......Of course I think I'd rather
be in pain than have to explain what an IDIOT I was for dropping it.... :-)

Exactomundo! I was thinking the same.

(Alumimun extrustion + black anodizing = Lee Valley)

Ya know, anodizing comes in lots of wild colors - you guys ought to
let your inner child out a bit.

Yeah, and hope he gets lost. There's too much "inner child" wandering around
elsewhere today.

Jim -

Thanks for the kind words...sorry 'bout the 69 minutes - it's real busy at
this time of year.... ;)

The dovetail marker you mention will be out in a month or two - we're using
our large saddle square extrusion, and cutting it at 1:6 and 1:8 ratios....

Cheers -

Rob

Smooth. Really smooth, Rob. Now how about a Wreck discount?
30-50% would be -real- good. <wink>
