Try to find a copy of Tage Frids _third_ book - the one on furniture
design. It's not a great book, but it does have a good workbench plan
and an excellent chapter on a great many ways to arrange expanding
tables.
BTW - Third volume, usually the second book. The first two volumes are
bound together in most editions. The first book is worth buying, the
second book worth borrowing from the library.
