Warning about spam/virus

I have been getting calls and email from people since yesterday
afternoon regarding a bogus spam supposedly sent by me. If you
see an emal with "Your Order From Diversify.Com -$150.00", don't
open it. It may contain the download.trojan.

Bad call, Twitley. Someone else sent it (apparently from
NYC), not me. They used a similar domain name and bogus
email addresses with my domain name as suffix.

I'll buy what I want and already have/use NAV. Active-X,
Java, and HTML are turned off in my email program for
further protection.

If what I understand Larry to be saying, this has nothing to do with
whether or not he has virus protection or a firewall. It has to do with
the fact that some scummy spammer (or somebody LJ PO'd) is using his
name and address to send viruses. Said person does not have to have any
relationship to LJ's PC other than knowing that he has an e-mail and a
web page and needed a scapegoat for its spamming.

It's called a 'Joe-Job' and if you need further help analyzing
the headers or tracking down the spammer(s) the folks over at
news.admin.net-abuse.email will be happy to help.
