If I am using a water based stain I usually raise the grain three times
using a a weak glue water solution.The glue holds the "whiskers" out so when
dry and lightly sanded they are easily removed ..
I tried a new technique about a month ago, instead of the glue water
solution I tried two teaspoons of liquid viagra and water . That was a month
ago and after a multitude of sandings the grain has still not settled down.
As a matter of fact even worse the grain direction has changed from
horizontal to vertical.... mjh

ROTFLMAO ... you should try stroking it in the opposite direction. BTW,
Cialis may gives you more time and options, or so clam the last few hundred
e-mails.

i dunno, with all that viagra i dont think i would want to be stroking it in
any direction. at least not without proper eye protection.

use equal amounts of cold water, ice chips and salt peter that will cause
the grain to relax and shrink rapidly. The grain will become short and
chubby easy to sand.
If this don't work then try wet sanding with a firm grip on your sanding
block. Try stroking your block back and forth with the wood grain of course,
alternate every so often by changing hands.You should come to some kind of
conclusion after this procedure.Reward yourself with a cold bud for a job
well done.

Coupl'a easy solutions:
1) Start bitchin' and naggin about how worthless it is. How you should
hooked up with that 8/4 stock you knew in high school. How it'll never
amount to anything other than kindling, Never be as nice looking as a Morris
chair. About how your mother told you to be wary. About how all of the other
families on the block have nicer stuff that you do.

2) Hold up a picture of Robin Hartl, give it a couple of quick strokes and
shoot for premature grain pop.
Its very dangerous to use that stuff... I did the same thing once but forgot
to wear gloves and some of the solution was absorbed into my skin. Needless
to say, the next morning I was at the doctor's office bright and early.
I asked what she could do for me and she left the room and returned after
about 20 minutes and said $3500 a week, a company car, half interest in the
practice and stock options.
