I've been working with my saw sled, making custom sized stop
blocks, to cut the pieces for the Wezard bank. Now I can just cut
almost all the pieces to size, rather than routing them to size. Saves
a huge amount of time. Now I only have to rout three pieces out of a
total of 16 - I'm counting some pieces that go inside, as spacers. Plus
two of the pieces I have to rout, I can cut to size, and just have to
rout a couple of places on them. So, I can rout two of them in less
than the time it took to rout a simple piece before.
But, this means one of my masters has to be reworked. One place
has to have more material. So, instead of reaching for a ruler, I found
myself thinking that part would have to be two popsicle sticks thicker.
LOL Which is exactly what I'm going to use to modify it with.
I've found popsicle sticks are extremely useful. When I was making
my custom stop blocks, if one needed to be just a bit thicker, rather
tan cutting a new one from scrap, I would just glue on one or two, or
more pieces of popsicle stick. If it wound up just a bit too thick,
sand to size. I'll eventually be making new master patterns later, but
to get to what I want, nothing like popsicle sticks.
I understand you can buy them in craft stores, but I get mine by
buying banananna flavored popsicles. No calories, or much of anything
but water and taste.

In principal, you're using the popsicle sticks as a Story Stick. <snip>
Don't know about that, but figuted out, two of the most valuable
tools in my shop are, the popsicle sticks, and my magnet on a string.
LOL I'm even using two popsicle sticks in the latest Wizard bank. But,
won't have to in the next, as I'm using popsicle sticks to help modify
the master for that particular part. LMAO
