I am close to the end of the road of life. I need to prepare now
because I dont have much time left. I believe I only have days.
I have searched the stores and the websites and find that no one
really sells deathbeds. I will have to build my own, and this will
probably be my last project in this life. I have my power tools and a
stack of lumber ready. I just need the plans. Does anyone have some
construction plans to build a deathbed? Please post them ASAP. I
have little time left.

If you only have a few days left, why not build something that's a
little more fun? Why not spend some time with your family, friends, or
pets... If you don't have any, why not go somewhere like Vegas and go
out in a blaze of glory?
Most people aren't really worried about what their bed looks like when
they pass away. Are you trying to impress the mourners? "Too bad that
Arnold died, but damn, that's a nice looking bed he made".

Someone once told me they were going to get me a death watch for my
birthday. Maybe it's something like that.

Lay down and wait ... something will come to you.

(BTW, on the WAY OFF CHANCE that you are not trolling this group, are
you perhaps looking to build a coffin? If so, a search on Google should
unearth (I couldn't resist the pun) more than a few.)

While I would be glad to oblige, I may not because:
[1] While it is generally agreed that you are endowed by the Creator
with the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, the
Attorney General of the United States has ruled that you do not have
the right to expire at the time and place of your own choosing, and
that it is a criminal offense for anyone else to be of any assistance
whatsoever.
[2] The State of California has determined that deathbeds are
hazardous to the health and well-being of the user and has banned
their production, transport, sale, and/or use in that state.

Why not use your own bed?
Evelyn
What is a Deathbed? I always thought that it was the bed someone had died
in. Sort of Joe died in that bed so it is his deathbed and I don't want to
sleep there because it has death cooties on it, sort of thing. If that is
the case why wouldn't any bed work?

Maybe thats the answer, he is afraid that there will be no morners and hopes
that people will come by at least to see the bed he made. I would suggest
at least a four poster regency style with hand carving.
