Workbench for sale

I have a cabinet makers workbench for sale. It is made with a solid 2
3/8" thick top except the edges are 3 3/8". The bench is 67" long, 27
3/4" wide and stands 34" high. It has 2 large vices, and holes for
3/4" round bench dogs. This bench is heavy.
$375 firm. I can e-mail pictures if you would like. I live in Fort
Myers Fl and you would have to pick up the bench.

Well I thank you for your thoughts!

I do miss the old shop, but I take some heart from the fact that it is used
on a daily basis to serve a small manufacturing business. It's not
woodworking, but he uses it "hard" and has spoken several times to me on the
phone in appreciation of some of the thought that went into that place.

Like I said, it helps reduce the sting...

Rob (who's next shop will be a worthy replacement for that one, though I
doubt much it will have been built by so many friends and enjoyed by so many
people)

Did you know that you can purchase old school portable buildings for approx
$3,500 CDN up here?...25'x40', wired, lit and heated and all you need is a
big truck to move them and a few blocks to stack under them. It even comes
with it's own coat room. Hmmmmm.....

Those portable classrooms are basically small double wide trailers.
They come apart in the middle and are then road ready at 12.5' x 40'.
Just like any small mobile home. Shouldn't need to move any utility
lines for these.

Hey Rob, Everytime I see one of your posts I think of your old shop. What
has become of it since you moved? Man, it must kill you not having the old
shop. Have you set up a new one yet?

Don't forget to check the cost of having utility lines raised, or taken
down, for the move. If the movers don't take care of that for you it could
put the price way pas treasonable.
Joe
with such a moving project in the future

Here is a idea. Take advantage of the Lake view and become the one the
lucky ones who have a floating workshop. Just put some big Pontoons to
float it and some solar panels for electricity and your all set !!

Better yet. I'm not sure if you remember "Expo 86" that was held here in
Vancouver, but one of the things unique about it was the McDonalds
restaurant. It was a barge...a floating barge tied to a wharf in the middle
of the fair. It was affectionately named "McBarge" and after the fair it was
retired. Today it sits at anchor up the inlet, abandoned. I have to admit
that when I look at it the though of converting it into a residence/shop had
crossed my mind...
