my turn to gloat!!

picked up a woodtek mortiser today. other than a lot of dust a broken
switch and some scratched paint it was in new condition. 1 hp 3450 rpm
with 3/4 and 1/2" bits and chisels. the 3/4" chisel was never used
and the 1/2" chisel showed no ware at all. the original owner had lost
the key to the switch and instead of spending a couple dollars to get
a new key tried to us a screwdriver to start it. in the process he
broke the switch. so it sat on a shelf for over a year. this is the
395 dollar model from woodworkers supply. got it for 75 bucks!!!!
ordered a switch this afternoon for 16 dollars and change. total cost
$91.02. i hot wired it to see if it worked. very smooth and quiet. i'm
just starting to set up my new shop so i think this may add some class
to the place! lol..... :-}
