merlin splitter for Jet?

I've been looking for an easy to remove splitter for my Jet contractors
saw. I just ran across the Merlin splitter, looks good but you guys
have actually installed and used it. Is it east to install? Does it
work well? Any advice would be appreciated. TIA Ken [email protected]

I installed one 6 months ago in my Jet contractors saw. It did take some
work to install. It's a universal mount and the instructions do say you may
have to do some filing. I thought I had to do more than I should have to. I
also found th clearance, when the blade is fully up to be very tight.

Although that said, once installed it works great. Easy to remove and
install. Easy to align. I'd recomend it

Haven't used it, but I did adapt my Jet contractors splitter/guard to make
it easier to remove/install. I just replaced the two bolts/nuts that attach
the splitter/guard with a bolt/knob. Now I just loosen the two knobs a turn
and I can remove the splitter/guard. Stick it back on and tighten the two
knobs a turn and I'm ready to go. It takes about ten seconds. I haven't
researched the Merlin extensively, but I haven't stumbled on the big benefit
of it yet.
