Cabinet Component Production Panel Cutter

Thanks to Wood magazine for promptly rejecting the article submitted on my
panel cutter allowing me to post it on my web site sooner than I expected
for the benefit of all... not just the magazine subscribers.

Comments, questions, and other thoughts are welcomed.

How about it if everyone who thought your original reply was rude &
unhelpful answers your next 10 root posts the same way?

It happens all the time ... no magazine wanted an article
on how to use a torsion box concept on a farmer's table
so that the aprons could be wrapped around the legs for
visual effect.

"Not enough readers would find that interesting..." or
words to that effect.

Innovative thinking is not always welcome for the masses.

Life goes on.

Thanks for your opinion Dave. I respect it. And thanks to those who did find
some value and did provide some additional feedback such as Mark Jerde.

My only comment is that many of the ensuing comments including yours Dave,
may have been better served as an e-mail directly to me or directly between
you and your dissenters so as not to clutter the rec with one liners of no
specific interest to others. I guess over the past ten years on here that
has been my one major pet peeve; conversational e-mail comments between two
individuals best left off the "group" posting line.

Happy Friday, and Safe W'working.

actually, you are wrong about the frequency of the pissing contests.
I'm rarely in them. I USED to be, but rarely lately.

Second issue: you are as off-topic as James led us all. I merely gave
an opinion, solicited by the OP. YOU are guilty of OFF-TOPIC posting.
YOU apologize!

I personally would rather see a post like his than alot of the ones we see
here. At least it concerned woodworking and he was trying to make a
contribution for the good. Alot more than we can say for alot of your
mundane posts. (See band saw pity part of last year by Dave) For Gods sake
how long did that go on in here. So let me throw it back at you my friend,
YOU get a life.

I have a complaint about your personal opinion on the matter. It's
useless. Since you didn't have anything of value to contribute, you'd
have been wiser not to post. Since you failed to judge this
appropriately, you were wrong. Please apologize to the group.

I don't blame Jim for being annoyed with your idiotic post -- and I
seriously doubt we are the only two -- and I think his query to you was
eminently reasonable. He gave you the benefit of the doubt [1], and
offered you the opportunity to clarify your "opinion." Unsurprisingly,
you failed to even respond to Jim's request. So not only is your opinion
useless, it's unfounded as well.

Have you noticed that you often end up in these -- to borrow your phrase

you're in them than the other denizens of the wreck are? Don't you wonder
why? Don't you wish you could do something about it?

Are you shouting, Dave? Calm down, now. I wuz jes' tryin' to help ya out,
see? [1] You don't need to go round, being the OT cop, judge, and jury.
If you want to waste the time, you can count my posts, OT an on, and
figure a signal-to-noise ratio. If you have even more time, you could
compare it to yours.

Jim

[1] To be truthful, I didn't really expect you to get the point of my

not to the bystanders. But hey, that's just me...

Jim, I wasn't shouting. Shouting is when the whole post is upper case.
I always use upper case for a few select words for emphasis. If you
notice I use upper case in most posts and am not upset, angry, ticked,
or mad when I do it! :)

Most of my posts are WW related, AAMOF. Hard to believe, but it's
literally TRUE! When they aren't, they are usually the result of
someone getting off-topic to hassle me. I didn't come into this thread
with anything off-topic, but decided to stick up for myself. If you
feel my position isn't "defenseable" (sp??) then let's just leave that
to opinion and stop beating this poor horse to death; ie, a serious
divergence of opinion. thanks.

I owe the group an apology. I let my emotions get the best of me while
reading certain replies to this thread and I took action that I should have
kept out of the group. I did not and for that I apologize. It just really
bothered me that some good individual took the time to post something
positive for the group and because another individual did not get something
from it, they decided to reply negatively. It bothered me alot and I took
action when I shouldn't have. So to the group, I apologize.

Nice article. I would add that for increased utility with two guide rails,
make a base for your router the same width as the circular saw.
