I need me a Galoot, bad, right now. I just purchased 1 (one) count-em
1 each, start-at-zero-and-stop-before-you-get-to-two, Millers Falls
Model 25 breast drill. I picked her up for 2 (two),
add-one-more-to-the-number-of-drills, bucks at an auction. This may
not seem like a problem so far, but here's the rub, the problem, the
issue, the fly in the ointment, the very essense of my need.
I have Googled my way unto the very ends of Algore's (All Praise to
His Holy Name) Wonderful and Worldwide Web and I have yet to find any
information at all,(none, zip, zero, not a peep) on the model 25. I
have looked at Drawers O'Drills, Boxes O'Braces, Piles O'Planes,
Stacks O'Saws, Bins O'Bits and Assortments O'Accutrements, 'till I
wanted to form a Pool O'Puke but there aint a model 25 in the bunch.
This sucker is big (over 21" long) and heavy. It resembles a model 12
with the following differences:
Above and below the bevel gear shaft housing is a knurled nut about
1/4" wide. South of them is two larger in diameter knurled nuts. Again
moving south, between them and the 1/2" two jawed, spring loaded chuck
is a threaded area. Threaded onto this threaded "spacer" is a bushing
with some kind of double birds mouth "wings".
With a little Bit O'Luck this will be an "only known example" worth a
Cache O'Cash. With my luck it will form a Case O'Cobwebs hanging in my
shop.
Warning: If you wish, I can and will post or e-mail pictures!!
