Mission/Arts and Crafts Bail Pull: where to buy?

I'm finishing up my first mission style chest of drawers. I have
decided on using a mission or arts and crafts style bail pull for the
drawers. Haven't decided between black or brass yet. I started looking
at online sources, and found quite a few (Rockler, Woodcraft, Van
Dyke, etc...) since these are all online and most of them look
identical, it's hard to decide where to buy. I have found price
variations between $3.99-$10 for what appears to be the same basic
item, quite a price difference when you are talking about 12 pulls.

I'd appreciate any advice on sources you are fond of.

Thanks for the help

Chris

Well, gee, I start out with the local Ace Hardware Store, I'm awful
fond of it, and they usually have what I need. OK, that's what you
asked for.

With their prices for A/C hardware, it might be cheaper to
buy a forge and anvil, then make your own.

Wow, that's as bad as Tansu hardware.

I've had great luck with both Van Dyke and Rockler. 3.99 for a mission
style pull is a steal.

Don't forget all the hardware www.leevalley.com offers.
Cast A&C pulls for under $7 vs. $62 (or $11) at these
other two places. All are nice, but whose pockets
extend that deep? (For Colonial A&C, especially.)

I love Rejuvenation's work on all but their hardware.
Their black A&C "Drawer Pull with Ring" looks like
it was fished out of a river. None of the peening
has any crispness at all. Compare it to Colonial's
C347KL or Lee Valley's 01W29.51 and I'll go with
LVT any time.

Don't you guys get all 3 catalogs? Lee Valley has Tools,
Hardware, and Garden cats. (There's more to tool porn
than mere woodworking tools, y'see.)

If you could look at them in person there is a difference the main
difference is a cast piece vs. a stamped one. I am lucky enough to be close
to Rockler and Woodcraft so that I could look at them. The best value I
found was at Restoration Hardware. I think I paid 6-7 a piece for the 30 I
needed for a mission bedroom set I just finished. I bought mine in person
but they are available on line though they did not have all the finishes
that they had in the store.

How come we choose from just two people to run for president and 50 for Miss America?

Lee Valley ... worth a purchase just to get on their catalog list. The
latest hardware version of their catalog would particularly interest you.

For high-quality pulls and knobs, I have found Horton Brass to be a
very good source. They are at: <http://www.horton-brasses.com/>
