Parts for teawagon wheels

I have 2 grooved wheels where the rubber tire has deteriorated. I'm
looking for round solid material about 3/8" diameter by the foot to
"retread" the 2 wheels which are approx. 2 1/4" diameter.

Lost rubber on the small (or large) wheels is easy to replace. Go to an
industrial supply house in your area that stocks bulk rubber "O"-ring
material - it comes in many diameters and is spooled on the roll. Get a
foot and a half for the two small wheels. Cut the material with a
garden pruner if you do not want to buy a specialty cutter - the ends
must be cut square and smooth. Your finished result will only be as
good as the nicely fitting ends. Run the O-ring material around the
circumference of the wheel and cut (or make several cuts sneaking up on
a good fit) to make a nice tight joint. Pinch the joint ends together
and apply a small drop of cyanoacrylate glue (such as Crazy Glue) to
the join and hold for 10 seconds - result - an almost invisible joint
and a strong, hard-wearing tire. Don't glue yourself to the job! On
second thought, if you can secure an O-ring of the proper dimensions,
your problem is solved with no cutting and fitting. Good luck -
Oldwood

Check local Rubber hose/oring supply shop, they have solid
rubber "cord" in various thicknesses for making up custom orings -
right thickness should work just fine, OR they could make a
replacement out of the same material

Here's one site:

Try a Google search for "extruded rubber cord".
