Google has been blocking these idiots, but these children are so
desperate for attention that they seem to be spending every waking hour
doing all sorts of tricks to get around the blocks.
As always, please resist the temptation to reply to or flame the trolls,
as that is exactly what they want you to do. If you really can't resist
the temptation, *at least* trim out all the newsgroups but yours from
your reply. That way, you will not be contributing to flooding other
newsgroups with off-topic garbage.
There is an ongoing discussion with Google which hopefully will result
in changes to Googles system that will pretty much eliminate the methods
that the trolls are using, permanently. If adopted, the changes will
prevent troll floods of this scale forever from Google. I'll inform you
of any progress on this front.
In the meantime, filtering out posts with *any* of the following headers
will *completely* nuke the trolls from your view:

NNTP-Posting-Host: 69.29.60
NNTP-Posting-Host: 206.216.62
NNTP-Posting-Host: 206.216.49
NNTP-Posting-Host: 205.184.145
Organization: [email protected]
------------------
For Agent users: [CTRL][G] with the following filter:
NNTP-Posting-Host: {206\.216} or {69\.29} or {205\.184}
Then again with:
Organization: [email protected]
If it's not possible for you to use the above filters, you may be able
to use one of the following, less effective, methods:
(1) Filter out crossposts completely (very newsreader dependent), or
(2) Filter out all posts from Google completely, until Google implement
a permanent solution. This is rough on the legitimate Google users who
contribute to these newsgroups, but if it's your only option, it'll
certainly nuke the trolls:
"Organization: http://groups.google.com"
Please feel free to ask for help with any of this. Between the various
groups in this crosspost, there are expert users of pretty much every
kind of newsreader, so somebody will almost certainly be able to give
you tips on how you can configure your newsreader to filter out this
garbage.

I never filter since I would rather sift through 1000 troll posts than miss
one post that I really want to read and just do not know it yet.

It doesn't bother me all that much either, but many people find it very
unpleasant to have to wade through hundreds of off-topic or
obscenity-laden posts, just to get to the ones that are on-topic.
I post these filtering tips for the benefit of those people.

Thanks for the update Lionel, and congratulations! It seems you have got
under the skin of the puppyboy. With Nfilter the puppyboy has ceased to
exist and has become irrelevant. I only see him if I use my alternate
